Everybody knows that you are the way you dress. Dressing-up with clothes that do not highlight your best sides or assets are useless thus a turn off making you the subject of many a fashion critics. Celebrities who maintain comfortable yet respectable looking clothes however normal they may look give a sense of consciousness of the world around them. On the mall shopping, having dinner with family or just about anywhere you may be, dress up in a way that represents you as the true you and not as what the media sees you. And one more thing, even celebs have their dirty little secrets like they have two week hairs under their arms. Under the spotlight or on the shoot of a feature film leaves not much time for hygiene down under the arms.

Many fall victim to the bandwagon and get hooked onto what others are doing. Ask any beauty queen and you will hear them saying that sometimes it may be necessary but that you must try to maintain your individuality and avoid getting sucked into the whirlwind of gossip and intrigue. Make your own mark and do not judge your achievements by the achievements of others, that way you maintain your identity even under the spotlight. Maintain your own style and if you must follow trends do add your own style to make it your own and therefore unique. Be ready to revise your style if it is demanded of you, flexibility is another key.

Lines on your forehead that doesn’t seem to go away are indicative of some bladder problems that can explain your frequent trips to the bathroom. If you have high blood pressure, your nose may be a bit red looking like the neighborhood bum who patrols the streets. Red hot ears mean you may be drinking too much caffeine or have high salt intake. All the above signs are meant to provide hints to health problems that may or may not manifest in individuals so do get your health checked regularly if you see some of these signs on your face. The body of knowledge the Chinese use for such diagnosis comes from one of the oldest civilizations on earth and may hold the key to solving some of your mystery illnesses.

Beach season again and we’ve all said it again and again, take care of your skin so you don’t get sunburned and look older. Many still ignore the aging effects of the harmful UV rays the sun showers down on the earth which does us some good but too much is known to cause skin cancer plus a myriad of other skin problems. Arm yourself with sunscreen for your body, face and lip balm for your lips to avoid those ugly age lines that once you get them don’t go away so easily. Encourage kids to do the same so they lower their risk of getting skin cancer in later life. Chances of getting it increase if you have had any serious sunburn on your skin when you were a little younger. So take care under the sun.

A new hair removal tool for those unsightly hairs on your body, that prevents you from wearing your favorite swimsuit is out on the market. The device called “No!No!” from Sephora uses thermal technology that kills the hair follicles which results in the smell of burning hair. Not recommended for the face (due to possible lawsuits if you happen to burn yourself while using it), it uses pulsed heat through a thermal wire which burns off the unwanted hairs in those areas such as bikini lines and others. The product claims to reduce new body hair growth by as much as 64% and is not hailed or even advertised to be a permanent hair removal tool rather a reducer. The product is available exclusively in their stores and do expect a hefty price for less hair for it costs $250 so you’ll be sure to dig into your savings of have to save for quite sometime before you can get one for your personal beauty arsenal.

History, Real-life, people

Many beauty queens truly deserve the title of being queens for the roles they play in society. Many who do win contests act as representatives to many human oriented projects like those from the WHO, and other charitable organizations. They also have private lives that may be similar to most of us except their jobs require them to be under continuous scrutiny. Like the recent events that have had beauty queens stripped of titles due to their untoward behavior in public. Many of these people forget that once they step up to the plate they are there to stay. Those that do not make it have lives to return to and those who do stay there for sometime diligently fulfilling the mandates of their pageant.

Many think beauty is limited to the face without much consideration for the body as a whole. The newer wholistic approach to beauty sees the face as part of the human body and only a small part of the person’s beauty. For a beautiful face, get a scalp massage, sounds crazy? Well, the scalp as we know it is mostly skin that as we age tends to lose some of its elasticity. This loss of elasticity tends to excert pressure on your muscles and skin leading to headaches and other annoying aches and pains that with a simple and relaxing massage sends it away into peaceful bliss leaving you refreshed and beautiful ready to continue with the rest of the day.

Many women love buns with regards to their hair for it takes them into a more manageable look that doesn’t fly all over the place. If you can, leave them just hanging out and have an up-do done. Want to leave your hair just as it is and look like you came from the beach, get hold of some sea salt spray that is readily available as a hair care product from your favorite stores. When blow-drying hair, try to use your fingers till most of the tangles are gone then turn to your favorite brush to minimize damage that can be done easily on wet hair. Love a new hairdo and color, then what’s stopping you? Just consult your stylist for the best and most favorable color you can use that would work with your overall look.

Gorgeous looking hair is one of the best ways to advertise your beauty and what better way to do that than with tips from your favorite hairstylists they don’t always tell you. First, shampooing your hair regularly keeps them clean. This might be true but if you want full bodied hair that looks gorgeous, skip the daily routine if you can for daily shampooing can indeed rob your hair of the natural oils that lubricates the hair making it look dull and limp. Oily hair, sprinkle a little baby powder on the scalp to get that oil under control. Dry coarse hair would need that conditioner to give it that additional moisture.
