Everybody knows that you are the way you dress. Dressing-up with clothes that do not highlight your best sides or assets are useless thus a turn off making you the subject of many a fashion critics. Celebrities who maintain comfortable yet respectable looking clothes however normal they may look give a sense of consciousness of the world around them. On the mall shopping, having dinner with family or just about anywhere you may be, dress up in a way that represents you as the true you and not as what the media sees you. And one more thing, even celebs have their dirty little secrets like they have two week hairs under their arms. Under the spotlight or on the shoot of a feature film leaves not much time for hygiene down under the arms.

Many fall victim to the bandwagon and get hooked onto what others are doing. Ask any beauty queen and you will hear them saying that sometimes it may be necessary but that you must try to maintain your individuality and avoid getting sucked into the whirlwind of gossip and intrigue. Make your own mark and do not judge your achievements by the achievements of others, that way you maintain your identity even under the spotlight. Maintain your own style and if you must follow trends do add your own style to make it your own and therefore unique. Be ready to revise your style if it is demanded of you, flexibility is another key.

Lines on your forehead that doesn’t seem to go away are indicative of some bladder problems that can explain your frequent trips to the bathroom. If you have high blood pressure, your nose may be a bit red looking like the neighborhood bum who patrols the streets. Red hot ears mean you may be drinking too much caffeine or have high salt intake. All the above signs are meant to provide hints to health problems that may or may not manifest in individuals so do get your health checked regularly if you see some of these signs on your face. The body of knowledge the Chinese use for such diagnosis comes from one of the oldest civilizations on earth and may hold the key to solving some of your mystery illnesses.

Beach season again and we’ve all said it again and again, take care of your skin so you don’t get sunburned and look older. Many still ignore the aging effects of the harmful UV rays the sun showers down on the earth which does us some good but too much is known to cause skin cancer plus a myriad of other skin problems. Arm yourself with sunscreen for your body, face and lip balm for your lips to avoid those ugly age lines that once you get them don’t go away so easily. Encourage kids to do the same so they lower their risk of getting skin cancer in later life. Chances of getting it increase if you have had any serious sunburn on your skin when you were a little younger. So take care under the sun.

Basics, Real-life
All women and even some men use beauty products each and everyday, many are unaware that the average woman applies close to two hundred specific chemical compounds on their faces each and every day. Two hundred may be a bit too exaggerated but it’s true, check out th3e ingredients on your make up and you’d get the picture. Also check the labels of soaps, cleansers and other beauty products you use and you may even end up with more. The lowly hair styling gel may contain anything form 2 dozen or more chemical compounds (and you’ll be surprised to know it also contains formaldehyde, you know, the embalming stuff or some derivative of sorts) and that’s just for hair styling. Be sure to check out the labels and also try to go organic, thought they are not as safe as you always think they were as with the previous post. Imagine all those chemicals being absorbed by your skin into the blood and you’d get the picture. If not, you end up becoming a soup of chemicals on the inside and suffer from some unknown disease you don’t even know might have been precipitated by the make-up and beauty products you use on you.

You’ve heard of them and they’ve been debated on for years, stem cells or the body’s super cells that have the ability to turn into just about any type pf cell inside the human body with a few hormones and genes thrown into the mix to make it all work out. Many say the beauty crèmes you get off the shelf for a dollar and the way pricy stuff you get form stores have just the same effects and ingredients, wrong! Well for this one product that is, Amatokin(R) which was developed in a high security lab surrounded by guards that are armed to the teeth with sub-machine guns in some small corner of Russia where they were working on some product to allow the healing and renewal of skin for burn victims (most beauty products have roots in the drive to discover and develop products for burn victims if you’d like to know) when they came upon polypeptide#153 which has rejuvenation effects for skin and promised to be a revolution in the cosmetics industry. Most anti-ageing compounds and products come from research in genetics and stem cells which has benefited millions of women world wide. The research is top secret and you would know why, who doesn’t want ageless skin?

There are a lot of beauty myths around which makes attaining perfect beauty a little harder, in this post we will tackle some of them in hopes of ending the fears people have about their bodies and maintaining that youthful glow. Let’s begin with hair, that all crowning glory of your physiology, there are myths that say you must not pluck hair or ten would grow in it’s place, that is very much false for there is no way that ten hairs would grow from just one single follicle. But do stay away from that gray hair for if you do pluck it, the one that grown in it’s place would lie flat giving the impression of thinning hair. A better option would be to color it and leave it be. What ever your ethnic background, we will all loose hair as we age and that has been the focus of many studies from the hair transplantation business. Better delay or prevent loss that have to add more to get more.

Gone are te days of pig skin grafts for people who suffer trauma such as accidents and burns that used to be sure ways for one to get ugly scar tissue for researchers have found that bone marrow stem cells are making the healing process faster and better than traditional skin graft methods. The procedure normally had the person’s own skin stretched onto the gaping skin wounds, cut from other less obvious parts of the body. The new research has pig skin treated with the person’s own skin cells then augmented with bone marrow stem cells allowing faster and better healing. Once the skin has begun to grow, it is then grafted onto the person without the pig skin allowing growth of the natural skin without using the pig skin as a substrate making the grafted skin good as new. Touch has long been regarded as the simplest way people share feelings and compassion but the strange thing doctors have been wondering about for a long time is why the specific act seemingly brings about healing. Pain seems to react to touch in a way not yet quite apparent to our researchers and doctors, then they find a special set of nerves that dots our fingers directly linked to the feeling processing center of the brain. The special sense receptors can be compared to having healing touch for one knows that babies calm at the touch of their parents, sick people calm down with a compassionate stroke of the hands and massage calms even the most stressed soul. Did you have enough rest and sleep last night?
If you wanna feel beautiful inside and out, you should then be getting adequate rest and sleep every night.
Quality sleep is one of our body’s needs that is often neglected.
Sleep is the body’s way of healing and repairing itself. Sleep is an essential requirement for good health. An average of eight hours of sleep will help you get rid of unwanted dark circles under your eyes (eye bags), pimple breakouts, pale skin, and puffy, red eyes. It will also give your body its much needed energy and alertness for the whole day and will help maintain a healthier, glowing, younger looking skin, bright eyes, and shiny hair. Lack of sleep can alter a both the person’s cognitive and motor skills, thus affecting the daily activities.
