Water – The body’s natural hydrator

water.jpgThe human body has a huge percentage of water which makes up a big percentage of its bulk. No wonder that doctors have long prescribed the daily intake of at least 8 glasses a day which makes sense for, we humans as a climate control measure produce sweat. This process takes out excess salt from the bloodstream (which is a natural dehydrating agent) and out to the skin’s surface where as the water evaporates, cools the skins surface. This evaporation cools the blood running through the capillary blood vessels which returns to the heart and lungs cooling the human body from the inside. With global warming causing more heat waves, it would be wise to have a daily intake of more than the said minimum amount. Less water makes the body shrives thus the age and stress marks so a healthy dose of water would be enough to maintain your body, cooler and younger.
